Regular Dusting:
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the glass shade and metal frame weekly to prevent dust buildup and maintain its shine.
Cleaning the Glass Shade:
For a more thorough cleaning, carefully remove the glass shade. The glass shade is held in place by a socket ring. To remove the shade, carefully unscrew the socket ring located beneath the bulb. Once the socket ring is loosened, the glass diffuser should be easily detached. Wash the shade with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely with a lint-free cloth before reinstalling. To reinstall, place the glass diffuser back into position and screw the socket ring back onto the socket, ensuring it is snug but not overtightened.
Metal Surface Care:
Wipe the polished nickel surface with a slightly damp cloth to clean any fingerprints or smudges. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing, as they may damage the finish.
Lightbulb Replacement:
Turn off and unplug the light fixture before replacing the bulb. Ensure you use a compatible E26 medium base bulb. Do not exceed the maximum wattage specified on the fixture label (typically 60W). Using a higher wattage bulb could pose a fire hazard.
Inspect the Wiring:
Periodically check the wire cable and connections for any visible damage. If you notice any fraying or wear, consult a licensed electrician for repairs.
Maintain Dimmable Functionality:
If the dimmable feature stops working, ensure you are using a compatible dimmable LED bulb. Check the bulb packaging for confirmation. Also, check the dimmer switch for proper operation.
Avoid Excess Moisture:
While rated for damp locations (areas with some humidity, like bathrooms), avoid direct contact with water or installing the fixture where it will be directly exposed to rain or splashing water. Never submerge any part of the pendant in water.
