Care Instructions
To keep your Aurora pendant light looking its best and functioning properly for years to come, follow these care and maintenance guidelines:
Regular Cleaning:
- Dusting: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently dust the glass shade and chrome finish weekly. This will prevent dirt buildup and maintain the shine of the fixture.
Cleaning the Glass Shade:
- Removal: Carefully unscrew the decorative ring located at the base of the glass shade where it meets the socket assembly. Once the ring is loosened, the glass shade should easily lift off.
- Washing: Wash the shade with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth.
- Drying and Reinstalling: Rinse the shade thoroughly with clean water and dry it completely with a lint-free cloth. Before reinstalling, ensure the socket assembly is dry. Place the shade back onto the socket assembly and carefully screw the decorative ring back on to secure it in place.
Cleaning the Chrome Finish:
- General Cleaning: Wipe the chrome surface with a damp cloth to remove fingerprints or smudges.
- Avoid Abrasives: Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbing, as this can damage the chrome finish.
- Polishing: For extra shine, use a non-abrasive chrome polish specifically designed for lighting fixtures, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Lightbulb Replacement:
- Safety First: Turn off the power at the circuit breaker before replacing the bulb.
- Bulb Type: Use an A19 or similar shaped bulb with a medium E26 base, with a maximum wattage of 100W.
- Dimmable Bulbs: If using a dimmer, ensure the replacement bulb is compatible. Check the bulb packaging to confirm it is dimmable.
- Installation: Carefully remove the old bulb and screw in the new one, ensuring it is securely in the socket.
Electrical Safety:
