Wood Cleaning Instructions:
Every piece of Oliver Home furniture is constructed using the highest quality materials by our passionate team of artisans. Each piece is hand-rubbed to create an elegant luster finish.
To minimize climactic effects in your home, avoid placing fine wood furnishings too close to radiators, vents or fireplaces, or in direct sunlight since this may also cause veneers to fade. As with any piece of fine furniture, try not to place glasses, cups or hot objects directly on the surface. We recommend using coasters whenever possible.
Once a week, dust exposed surfaces with a clean and moist cotton cloth. Then dry the surface with a clean and dry cloth.
Brass Cleaning Instructions:
- Dust Regularly: Use a soft, dry cloth to gently dust the brass accents regularly. This helps prevent dirt buildup and keeps the brass looking shiny.
- Clean with Mild Soap: For deeper cleaning, mix a small amount of mild dish soap with warm water. Dip a soft cloth into the soapy water and wring it out well. Gently wipe the brass surfaces to remove any grime or fingerprints.
- Rinse and Dry: After cleaning with soapy water, wipe the brass with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Immediately dry with a soft, dry cloth to prevent water spots.
- Polish Occasionally: Use a brass polish or a mixture of vinegar and salt to restore shine if the brass starts to look dull. Apply the polish with a soft cloth, rub gently, and then buff to a shine with a clean cloth. Make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for any brass polish.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners or bleach on brass, as these can damage the finish.
Glass Cleaning Instructions:
- Remove Dust and Debris: Start by dusting the glass surfaces with a soft, dry cloth or a microfiber cloth to remove any dust or loose debris.
- Use a Glass Cleaner: Spray a small amount of glass cleaner onto a lint-free cloth or microfiber cloth. Avoid spraying directly onto the glass to prevent cleaner from dripping onto the wood or brass.
- Wipe Clean: Wipe the glass in a circular motion, starting from the top and working your way down to avoid streaks.
- Dry and Polish: Use a dry, clean cloth to buff the glass to a streak-free shine.
- Avoid Abrasive Materials: Do not use rough or abrasive materials on the glass, as these can scratch and damage the surface.
